contemplation!!!!

If words could never express how I feel

Then what is the use of poetry?

Some are long, others short

Rhythm and rhyme is what rules them

What happens when the words we say ever single day

Are put out of context and explain something so clear

That we believe, at that moment in time we have found truth?

When silence is so loud, it threatens to pierce our eardrums?

When love is so close to hate, that death is the only bliss we feel there is?

When colour is represented through words such as sunset and thunder,

How do you explain that to a blind person?

Explain love to someone consumed with so much hate,

Even when you aren’t sure love is what we’ve felt???

How can words describe feelings that we think we’ve felt once

When that feeling is so long gone, thanks to experience and lack of trust?

One thing that is always with me,

Is the need to express ice cream in words

That every  tongue can understand

Even to the taste bud that is dead of all feeling…

If life is memories, scientific reactions and the complex process of the heart beat,

How does one go through joy, sadness, grief and love

But still survive to do it all again????

“ME TIME”

September 5, 2006 at 10:43 am (Education)

the lovely thing about being young (i mean under the age of 10years) is that days seem so long. i can remeber being that age and the only thing that mattered to me was what time i’d get picked up from school so i can go play on my bmx 10speed bike.
time is something that we don’t always think of branding, but its something that rules every brand. whether its having to meet a deadline, or launching a groundbreaking product, time rules!
i don’t know how many people are aware of Kulula’s ‘time saving’ campaign, that will basically put South Africa in line with every first world country, and give us a bit more sunlight in winter. to me this is a concept that every 10 year old, 23 year old, and any person in the whole wide world can relate to. the need for more light, more hours in a day and more time is essential, for health, recreation, business and geting to know yourself.
so in the mist of doing a thesis, a group presentation and pitching to clients, more sunshine is what i need. becuse essentially more sunlight means more energy to do work, less frustrations being taken home, and better nuturing of relationships (with yourself and anyone else).
so, although this may be a bit too late (thanks to less hours) my support for time saving is loud and clear… with a bit more sunshine, we can all have a bit more time to play outside, and MAYBE somehow, we’ll achieve world peace:)
